What health and safety measures do you have in place at your clinic?

At Fort Washington Dentistry, your health and the health of our staff are of the utmost importance.  To ensure your health and the health of our staff, we do follow the usual universal precautions in our operatories and office.

Our Commitment to your Safety with regards to infection control has been our top priority as you have seen over the years with your dental office visits. Our office follows the guidelines recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). We follow the guidelines of agencies and stay up-to-date with new guidance as they are issued. We adhere to agencies recommendations as your safety is our highest concern. We have individual patient treatment rooms allowing for quality care.

For the protection of all our patients and staff we are requesting the following:

  • If you have an illness or are exhibiting symptoms, we recommend you cancel and reschedule your dental appointment by calling our office as soon as possible before your appointment time.
  •  Some illnesses and symptoms include:
    • A cold or the flu
    • Fever or nausea
    • Severe headaches or body aches
    • Muscle or stomach pain, chest pain, or difficulty breathing
    • Vomiting or diarrhea
    • Active tuberculosis (TB)
    • Mumps, measles, chickenpox
    • Other contagious diseases

If you are healthy and free of any fever or symptoms, there’s no need to cancel your regularly scheduled dental appointment.
